Winter Party Update

Hi all,

Today we would like to share a handful of memories and photos from our recent winter party.

A fair amount of preparation went into making this event a great success. For the previous couple of weeks the children made salt dough, card and pom pom decorations for the Christmas tree. On the day they helped make bread, fruit punch and hot chocolate. They made signs for all the stalls and wrote the cafe menu on the big whiteboard. They helped wrap up the parcel for pass the parcel and tested if the microphone was working when we set up the stage. It was working well!

During the party gingerbread biscuits, cupcakes and chocolates were sold. Hot soup was served. One of our children ran a well-attended slime making workshop. You could learn how to make a pom pom and paint a salt dough decoration. Most kids took part in very exciting pass the parcel and crazy can alley games. Many raffle tickets were sold and various prizes were won. The biggest hit was the talent show though. Children performed songs solo and sometimes in pairs. We performed a trampoline song we wrote together in a small group to the accompaniment of drums. Ukulele and violin were played. It seemed like we would never be able to end the night as the children were constantly signing up to go on stage. What a wonderful experience!

Thank you for attending our party.
