New Group in Stockwell

Hi all, we have very exciting news for you! We are looking into opening a new group in a fantastic adventure playground in Stockwell (SW9 0AD) in a few weeks’ time. It’s got a garden, beehives, quails, a climbing wall and rope swings. There’s also a spacious indoor area with toilets and a kitchen. We feel the location has got huge potential!

The project will partially have democratic structure with a focus on self-directed learning. The typical day starts with a group meeting where plans for the day are discussed and then the children are free to take part in adult-led or self-initiated projects. There is also always time for a lot of free play. We’re planning exciting projects for the sessions, such as woodworking, gardening, forest school activities and science experiments. We’re also going to invite special guests to run workshops for us on a regular basis.

Initially we will be open one day a week (Thursday or Friday) and hopefully we will be able to add another day soon. The hours will be 9.30-3.30 term time only. We will be offering a trial to all families, which will be four sessions long. The daily fee will be £40.

We are a drop-off group, however, if you prefer, you will be able to become a regular or occasional parent volunteer.
